Content deletion is considerably less serious than article deletion, as the page history can be exhumed / excavated as long as the page remains in mainspace

Deleted articles and their edit histories can be restored upon request; the requirement that this should be requested of the editor who deleted the article is not a Wikipedia rule, and should be circumvented for reasons obvious to everyone but Wikipedia, it seems
