Most of the slang here is associated with Outlaw motorcycle clubs, with a mix of some Motorcycle club terms, along with terms like "back door" associated with group riding, not necessarily clubs, and "ape hanger", which belongs under Custom motorcycle and Motorcycle handlebar. In other words, there are slang terms used in several distinct motorcycling subcultures, and little justification for lumping them into one glossary."

This is a list of Motorcycle Club terms. Motorcycle subculture which has its roots in the immediate post-World War II era of American society. It is generally centered around the use of cruiser motorcycles, particularly Harley-Davidsons and choppers, and a set of ideals which celebrate freedom, nonconformity to mainstream culture and loyalty to the biker group. They have developed their own unique terms.

List of terms:

  • Ape Hangers, high handlebars that raise a rider's hands above his head much like an ape's hands may hang over their head[1]
  • Back door, an experienced rider who is last in line on a group ride[1]
  • Back warmer, a female passenger on the back of a motorcycle[1]
  • Bar bike, or 1 mile bike, a motorcycle driven a short distance to and from a bar[1]
  • Colors, the uniform of the club[2]
  • One Percenters, an outlaw club or gang[2]
  • Road Name, a member's nickname[2]
  • Weekend Warrior, a rider who only rides during the weekend[2]
  • Waxer, someone who doesn't ride but only waxes his motorcycle[2]
